David Axson is an experienced executive advisor covering strategy, finance, data, and technology. He has worked with executives at more than 200 organisations across 45 countries over his 35-year career.

Working with start-ups and Global 1000 companies he has deep experience across multiple industries. He currently serves as part time CFO for Shrap a UK-based fintech startup that is reinventing cash. Earlier in his career, he co-founded The Hackett Group leading the company from start-up to IPO in just over six years.

David is the author of five books including The Management Mythbuster (Wiley 2010) and Best Practices in Planning & Performance Management (Wiley 2003). He writes a regular column for Financial Management the journal of the American Institute of CPAs.

David has degrees in Accounting and Computer Science from The University of Leeds (UK) and is a life member of the British Computer Society (MBCS).
